Upcycled Fun: Let's Make Board Games !
In today's After-School Art Class, our Makers embraced the K.I.S.S. principle—"Keep It Simple Sweetie"—as they crafted their very own board games. With just 45 minutes on the clock, we focused on creating straightforward start-to-finish games, complete with a few fun obstacles. Although the kids were eager to add intricate details, the simplicity of the project allowed us to complete it on time.
We got crafty by repurposing plastic yard signs and craft paper for our game boards, and discovered that leftover paint samples make excellent pathways. Did you know these samples are often discarded? Lastly, we used various recycled materials to create unique game pieces. Stay tuned for more complex game-making adventures during summer camp!
